Professor John Mullen started as a trainee with the NSW Department of Agriculture in 1968 and headed a group of research economists at research stations in NSW DPI as a Principal Research Scientist until 2009 . He now undertakes small consultancy projects usually usually aligned with the major focus of his research programme, economic issues related to publicly funded agricultural research.
He has published 54 refereed professional journal papers and delivered 29 Invited and 70 contributed conference papers.
