Biosecurity Tasmania- Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water, and Environment (Tasmania) Chief Plant Health Manager (Tasmania)

Andrew is Tasmania’s Chief Plant Health Manager with Biosecurity Tasmania responsible for the development and maintenance of the Tasmanian plant biosecurity system including plant biosecurity emergency responses. Andrew authored Tasmania’s first State biosecurity strategy, and is the Chair of the national Plant Health Committee. He received a Churchill Fellowship in 2002 to investigate horticultural IPM. He has degrees in biological and agricultural sciences (B. App. Sc. And M. Agr. Sc). He is a Certified Practising Agriculturist with AIA and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a former Chair and current director on the AIA national board.
